The death penalty must be abolished in Iran. Iran is one of the few countries in the world where its people wake up every dawn in anxiety, listening for the sound of the stool being pulled from under the feet of the victims.

The number of people executed by the Islamic Republic over the past 45 years is beyond count. Many have remained nameless, and there are countless mass graves in various corners of Iran. Although we all know that the victory of the people in achieving democracy and transitioning from the Islamic Republic will ultimately abolish the death penalty, it is our duty to always speak out against this inhumane sentence and expect the international community to adopt firm stances against the organised crimes of the Islamic Republic.

Mohammad Mehdi Karami, Mohammad Hosseini, Mohsen Shekari, Majidreza Rahnavard, Milad Zohrevand, Mohammad Ghobadloo, Mohammad Faramarzi, Vafa Azarbar, Mohsen Mazloum, Pejman Fatehi, Majid, Saleh, and Saeed were tried and executed in the Islamic Republic's kangaroo courts. Toomaj Salehi, Reza Rasaei, Mojahed Korkour, Abbas Daris, Mahmoud Mehrabi, and many other unnamed individuals face the threat of execution. The continuation of our presence in the streets, outside of Iran, constant protest against these sentences, and remembering the victims to keep the issue of executions in Iran alive is necessary. It is essential to remind the world of placing the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) on the list of terrorist groups to weaken the tools of oppression against the Iranian people. Although we all know that ultimately, the people inside of Iran will be able to put an end to this widespread injustice. We will neither forget nor forgive the perpetrators and agents, the judges of death, the executors of sentences, and the murderers of Iran's children.
